Project Overview
Client: petrochemical
Location: Middle east
Year of Commissioning: 2015
Application: Treated water for paper production
Capacity: 900 m³/day
Project Background
The paper production facility required high-quality process water. The feedwater, drawn from a nearby lake, contained seasonal biological and organic compounds due to algal blooms and runoff.
Engineering Solution
The system was designed to manage biological variability and included:
Clarifier
Lamella separator
Sand filtration
Activated carbon
Reverse osmosis (RO)

Design was supported by a European technology partner, ensuring effective treatment and minimal footprint.
Operational Results
The system has delivered stable water quality for paper production, adapting to seasonal changes in feedwater composition
Regional Impact
The project supported sustainable paper manufacturing and reduced environmental stress on the lake ecosystem.
